A new yellow

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

For those that like petite blooms. Mountain Star is a smaller medium yellow flower with very long 3 1/4" tendrils.

Such a delicate looking beauty!
Did she stay that wonderful shade of yellow?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks everyone.
Yes Vi, she stayed that shade through two flushes.
The funny part is that both her parents were pink.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I love it Terry! Isnt it amazing what you CAN get? :o) Makes me giggle inside!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

The name really fits this one, it does look like a star. So sweet.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Love those long tendrils and we know there are pink genes in her. Terry, you have had some really pretty ones this year and will no doubt have many more next year.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks so much for your nice comments.
I have learned a lot from the crosses that I've made. Some won't be made again and some will be made even better.
I have also been amazed how many different looking flowers can come out of one seed pod.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I have seedlings of yours growing out of Dr. D x whiskers. Three of the four have bloomed. I like all of the flowers but thus far all have been white. The plants grew very quickly and bloomed in about 5 months. All of the flowers had very nice fragrance to them also.
All 3 have nice flower form, long tendrils and thick substance.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

A real good brug. Congrats Snow!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks David. That's good to know. The cold hit here before I had a chance to see this cross bloom. I'll keep my fingers crossed the 4th one has color.
Thank you Ludger.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Geez Terry, when starting brug seeds yesterday, guess what I found? Yep, a package of your seeds that I didn't get planted last year. So, I'll be planting them now and hope to get something nice from them next summer. It was the EP X Dr. D seeds. Sorry I missed them.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

This is very very pretty, it is out of the same cross that produced the lovely dark pink Mountain Magic? Did Mountain Maiden and Mountain Treasure both come from that also? It is amazing at the wide range of looks you can get from one cross. If I am remembering correctly, you also got the very pretty two toned out of that cross also. You did such a good job with this cross.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

there's several different crosses involved in those Mary.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

tiG's right Mary. There are different crosses there.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Okay, I'm confused, all the mountains are running together, lol. Out of your crosses this year, Terry, which are sisters?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Mary, MT. Star, MT Treasure and MT Magic are sisters.
The two toned seedling, MT Maiden, Snow Queen and the orange double are from different crosses.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Terry.
