This is one of the last blooms on ForeverMorr for this year. I think she has one more bud to open and then I'm going to be bloom deprived for months and months. I hope all of you who have blooms during the winter will post pictures to keep those of us up north going until we have blooms again next year. It will be a long dry spell. I'm already getting excited about what I'm going to be planting in the beds and pots next time around.
Last blooms.....
Brugie that is beautiful! you lucky girl....
Amazing one Brugie. Look at how high that color goes up. I bet in the summer it is solid dark pink........ maybe red! It also hangs so nicely off the plant not to mention the tendrils.
If it looks this good in your garage can you picture it next summer? I have none that look that good even in their prime outside!
Shirley, it's really beautiful!
I love it, Shirley. Wow!
So dark! very nice
Very pretty!
WOW!!!! - Brugie. That is one very beautiful brug.
Brugie, you did such a good job!!! I love this brug.
Thank you for the picture.
The color on her is awesome!! I really love this one.
Another beauty! Keep 'em coming.
Oh she is such a dark Pink. Morr so it is one you hybradized or grew out for someone and named ??? She a real beauty.
Gotta love this one . . she's a special beauty for sure and I really like the name. Brugie, you have so much to look forward to next spring.
Thanks everyone. I sure hate to see the blooms come to an end. I have a single PB bloom in the house right now. Of course, I've already pulled the pollen from it so I can hopefully start early next summer. Donna, this is one that I hybridized last year. My seeds had the weevils or something in them and out of all the seeds I had, two pods worth, I only had five seeds that grew. This was one of them. Jim asked me tonight when I was going to bring this plant in the house. He really surprised me. I thought he would throw a fit if I brought one more plant inside, but he thinks this one needs to be protected, so tomorrow when it warms up, in it comes. HG will have to survive in the garage. LOL!! (or not)
Bob, that is clerodendrun Ugandense. I love that little plant, but it was a bit late blooming for me this year. Mine is blooming in the basement right now. Hope you aren't going to have a freeze tonight. We will the next two nights. Dang, winter is coming.
Shirley, you have to give this one a special place in your garden next year so it can strut it's stuff! It is a beauty!
Shirley, I just can't wait to see what she is going to do next summer. Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks Sue and Terry. I can't wait to see what she does too. I keep thinking she should be darker with the heat and long days, but I guess we will have to wait for summer to see. I'd be totally happy if she would be just like this picture.
Beautiful!
You've definitately got the brug green thumb, Brugie! That is just gorgesous!
I, too, am going to miss the blooms this winter. Mostly the fragrance as I've really found that to be so soothing!
She's absolutely gorgeous and I hope someday these lovelies are available to us mere mortals cause between yours ,Susie's,Liz, Snow's and everyone elses there must be something supernatural in what you guys are doing...
My seedlings are all frosty lookalikes(its a Kell thing) or white and pretty.......
Brugie: She is a knockout. I love her.
Not just pretty but "Amazing in Pink" ! Guard that brug!! It's beautiful.
Bambi
Shirley it is gorgeous. I just love that dark pink.
Patricia
Shirley that is very pretty, I bet it is gor-ge-ous next year.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of your nice comments. I hope that there will be plenty of cutting material next fall. I'm going to try to grow at least two of them myself and I have a couple of people growing them for me in different areas of the US. If for no other reason than color, it will be released next fall. Then if each of you that get it and grow the plant decide it isn't worthy, it can be dumped.
can't imagine dumping this one Shirley!
I can't either, but it needs next summer to make sure on my end. Gosh, I can't believe I'm sitting here with the furnace on and wishing I could go out and plant next springs gardens. Yes, I can believe it. Cold is no fun!!
Brugie, just beautiful. Hope you have no problem carrying over to next season. Thankgoodness not as cold here as there. In 60s daytime, just down to frosting at night. Donna
Zone envy...especially the zones in your neck of the woods. They sure don't run as cold as they do here. Thanks for your nice words. It will hold over in my family room, but right now it is 38 degrees and too cold to bring it in from the unattached garage.
It is going to be 34 at night sometime this week yuck!!!!!!! Thank God hubby is home to help move them. I still have to move in some here but, the "good stuff" went to the greenhouse for the winter to grow a bit more.
Move here Brugie

Whaaaaa.....
Wow! That's a beauty. I love it.
Shirley I am on my way over to see that last bloom this afternoon - like in about 15 minutes!!!!
Very pretty bloom Dennis. Are we going to be feeling low or what for the next several months? Maybe winter will go fast.
Nice bloom, Froto! I brought my brugs inside and lost many leaves. I wondered if they would go dormant or if they just didn't like the location change. If they will adjust to being inside, I'd love to keep them going through the winter. Does anyone else have success with this? If so, how well does it go in reverse (taking the brug back outside in the Spring?)
Mine bloom inside. Have them under florescent lights. Good luck,Dayton. Ohio.
Thanks, Lima, OH ~ oops, Hibiscus ~ LOL :) Right now the fluorescent lights are turned upside down to get light on them. I have to rig up something to have them hang high enough. It's a sorry sight right now ~ lol.
