This picture was taken in in my backyard in August just before dusk. Luckily there was still enough light to get a picture. Most have turned out way too dark. Every evening they came in and settled in the trees. I'm not sure if they are still coming in, DH dug up 2 trees and laid them under the 'roosting tree'

I have never seen a butterfly roosting at night.
Not all that many live here even though I planted a butterfly bush and other things to attract them.
As one would suspect we do have an ample amount of those lousy white ones that try to wreck my garden.
The first place I saw this was at (DG memeber) Arlene's and I was amazed...then when we found them in our yard we were thrilled!
You did finally manage to take a picture of the zebras roosting. Very cool!
