I am looking for information about this brug. I posted it on the garden web and they told me it was a peaches & cream, then I posted it on the ABADS web site and they think it's a Suaveolens Variegata, what do you guys think this brug is. Thanks for you help.
Brug Who Am I?
It is definitely suaveolens Variegata.
Has to be White Suaveolens Variegata. Pretty, and great pictures you posted.
Congrats, you have the Klerx variegated. I like it too. My one is growing very well here.
Not to confuse you...they are the same brug.
Mine hardly blooms at all. You have the touch!!
that is pretty :)
I ordered this brug from Logee's about 4 yrs. ago, but I never saw it bloom. A couple of years ago we had our beds weeded by a landscaping crew and someone must have thought it was a weed, because it disappeared with the crew.
I bought this brug on ebay, he just said it was a variegated brug but didn't know the name. I received a cutting in early July of this year, I never thought it would bloom. It grew like crazy and now is in full bloom, I took those pictures yesterday. This was my first summer with brugs so I followed all the advise given on these forums and they all grew and bloomed. I watered everyday, fertilized every 3-4 days, and gave epsom salts every 2 weeks. In the early spring I fed them regular miricle grow, I used osmacote in the soil, then in July I started feeding them bloom builder fertilizer miricle grow and they started setting buds and they are still blooming. I have them in my greenhouse for now, I am going to bring them into the house for winter, hubby won't let me heat the greenhouse this winter because of the cost of heating fuel. Now I want to collect them all, but not sure were I'll keep all of them for winter. I'm in zone 6, sometimes like last winter zone 5 or below, we had a bad winter last year, I was wondering if I could store them in a unheated garage. This year is not a problem, I only have 6 large plants and they will go into my laundry room in the basement. I bid on some seeds on ebay so I am going to see if I can get them to grow, the seeds were wonderful, planted them yesterday. Thanks for all your help. Cathy
Oh goodie, goodie. I have a cutting of Suaveolens Variegata. Hope it makes it through the winter and grows and blooms like that next summer.
cbrandenberg, great pictures. I do have a small greenhouse and it is already crowded with brugs. My seedlings are growing so fast. I just hate that i have to cut them back soon. Three are out in the bonsai storage room which is still staying above 50 degrees. They just take up so much room. Good luck to you keeping yours through the winter, Donna
