Jaunt to Blackpool do you think?

I'm going to miss my jaunts on the North York Moors when that finishes this weekend. I'm looking for other things to do!
I've joined the Mature Students Society at uni, they're organising some activities. I emailed them a list of suggestions, based on my jaunts, but I'm not sure they were what they were looking for. :(
Anyway, it appears they are organising a trip to Blackpool, coastal resort in Lancashire. On Nov. 1st. Maybe I could take my friend Marie with me. Not sure yet whether I'm going, need more info, and it looks like a bit of a long day. What do you think?
