Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Soybean harvest is in full swing here. I stood at the barn quite a while tonight just listening to the whir of two combines going full tilt across the fields with the lights on. Grain trucks are running up and down the roads. I haven't been to the mill myself, but know those guys have to be pretty busy! Hope most everything gets in before any bad weather gets here.
My "new" mare has a sprained ankle, so I will give her lots of healing time. What a sweet girl she is. I brushed her lots tonight so she will get used to me. I also like to have a little grain in my hand so she will come right to me.
Took a few wethers to market today that should have been sold a looonnng time ago. Don't have a clue what they will bring. Some of the lots to be sold at the market were some pretty scrawney goats and sheep. I always think I could fatten them up.
Hope everyone is doing well.
