This is my Datura that I planted from seed. It was supposed to be(was labeled as)black currant swirl, but I was just looking at some of the pics on the plants database, and this is not the same....
Can you tell me about this?
that is Datura metel var Fastuosa, commonly known as Black currant swirl... they do come in single, doubles and triples. form and shape depends on each bloom that emerge. i grew a lot of them in my yard. i am not an expert, but i can tell based on personal experiences of growing them. check this thread http://davesgarden.com/t/400807/#top hth... ma vie
Thank you so much! So it is black currant swirl. It just didn't look as 'swirled' as the ones in the PDB.
u're welcome. try to take photo when the flower has just beginning to emerge or open, specially in the early morning. u'll see a lot of swirl. what u have above is a full bloomed flower.
