I love that "exploded clown" look in my garden and the HOT colors are some of my favorites. Lotsa colors and throw out the "rules"....it goes with the paradise-like climate.

I never dig the tubers, just leave them in the ground and they quietly grow all winter and surprise me each spring as they pop up in unexpected places. (Probably from me digging and moving other things with chunks of the tubers mixed in.)
