drowning over there?

How are you pacific siders making out. We keep hearing about floods etc. Are you and your plants managing to keep your blossoms above water?

First everything burns and now it gets washed away out west. Always the extremes eh?!

We're surviving on Vancouver Island but we've sure had a lot of rain. Setting records daily. Pemberton, where Dennis lives is getting the worst of it, rivers overflowing and roads washing out.

Yes, we, here in North Van are quite fortunate as far as avoiding weather disasters! Liz has said she has had some fun trying to get her trops back into their winter homes! We have just finished building an enclosed patio room, off my greenhouse, whilst watching the water pour out of the eaves troughs....we have it sorted out now, thankgoodness! others in the Lower Mainland aren't so lucky! PanamonCreel ~ the thing is, people live here so that they don't have to live with extremes. But every now and again Mother Nature gives us a kick in the behind so that we'll appreciate what we normally have.

Too True Liz: Thank you all for your concern. We are complacent here in our temperate climate. Dry ground can't absorb water readily and leaf drop was excessive due to stress as well, so drainage was minimized. Dennis is the only one of us I know who could be in real trouble. Please report in when you can Dennis.

Dennis emailed that he was ok. He's in Burnaby not in Pemberton, I think. He said his Aunt in Pemberton said his house is fine. I don't think he has any furniture in it yet.
