Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Here is a photo of my Shredded White brug. Do you all think it is correctly named. Donna

I'm afraid that's not Shredded White. It may be Species or one of the other doubles. Here's a picture of Shredded White.

Donna, thats the prettiest shredded white I've ever seen......but Snow's right

Now how am I going to know what it is. I bought it from Logees two or three years ago. Donna

Is it too late in the year to send some cuttings to some of you knowledgeable people to try to identify it. Or would it be better to wait until spring. Donna

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Donna, if it's from Logee's it must be 'Species'. I think that's the only double they carry.

Poppysue is right. You have a great brug there. Stick that "Species" label on it and enjoy. I do think this one is a little harder to root. At least at my house!!

Thanks for your help. I will proceed to label it Species. Will take me awhile to get used to the different name. I haven't had too much trouble getting cuttings to root as that is the way I have carried it over the winter the past couple of winters. Thanks again. Donna

Donna,that is a Keeper!!!!

I wonder some time if cuttings from shredded white revert or sport to a double, because I purchased cuttings of a shredded white and also would up with just a double white.

I've never heard of it happening Mary but stranger things have happened so I'm not going to say it's impossible since I don't know what genes are in SW.
I would more think though that it was sent mislabeled.
