Plum happy to welcome Plumbago

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Please join me in welcoming Plumbago, a dear friend of ours for many years. http://davesgarden.com/members/plumbago

She's got a green thumb that just doesn't quit, plus she's a talented decorater, artist and crafter. She and her hubby are fellow Ohioans, but have been snowbirds escaping to Naples' sunny climes when the weather got cold up here.

But now, God forgive 'em, they're setting up permanent residence down in Florida! Can you imagine?!

Though their second-floor digs preclude her keeping a garden after their move, she's a wealth of information and one of the liveliest and fun people we know.

Love you, Marilyn!

Welcome Marilyn and DH. You're specially blessed to know Kimberly, Howie and family!

Can't wait to ask you some gardening questions!

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Welcome! Now why would anybody trade Ohio for sunny Florida just when winter is comming?

Greetings, Plumbago! Best wishes on your move and adapting to the new gardening zone, and a very warm welcome to DG.

Well, where is that gal? I'm gonna have to e-mail her the link! She might not have time to get on here until they're moved down to sunny Florida.

Welcome
I love your nickname. Have a great time here and you will find its the best place in the world to be, other than playing in the dirt (which of course in Zone 5 isn't happening right now)
Hope you love it here, as much as the rest of us.

C'mon out, Marilyn, wherever you are! ;-)

Thank you all for your kind 'welcomes'. Kimberley, did you know that John bought this darling little house when I was up in Ohio in January. I went away for a week and look what he did!! My son-in-law, Bob, says I should go away more often!! hee! hee!

We have a fairly large yard and are on a good sized lake (pond??) My neighbor takes care of all the huge pots and baskets on Third St. (the upscale shopping area). If any of you are familiar with Naples, you know what I mean. Anyway, she keeps telling me to slow down!! After rushing to transform my yard, I now understand what she means! I didn't know I'd have to do so much watering. But, I'm having a ball with all the new, gorgeous flowers down here and am confident I shall learn. Problem is, I want to try everything. Does anyone know why the Valencia orange tree has lost all it's leaves. Looks pretty sick to me!!

I signed up for DSL with Sprint and Earthlink and am having a terrible time. I NEED YOU, GARDENWIFE!!! That's why I sort of 'dropped out of sight'. I'll try to do better. You all sound like wonderful people, the salt of the earth. Keep posting those spring northern flowers!!

Hey, welcome to Daves Garden. I'm only a few months late in my welcome. LOL! Hope you are enjoying the garden by now and know your way around easily. Do you grow plumbago? I ordered a red one this year. I hope it gets here. Can't wait to plant out a lot of stuff. Iowa......I am getting so I can't stand it's crazy weather pattern.
