Our nites have been in the high 40s here. When should I cut my brugs back that I want clipping from? How much cold can they take?
A couple are still blooming. Last year the frost killed them back.. well I guess they wasn't dead as the
grew back this spring. We now have a greenhouse but it is too small to put the brugs in.. maybe I should say the brugs are too big :0)
I was given instructions on how to root them but can't find them.. I think I need a refresher course. Is in water or dirt the best?
Thanks for any help.

when to cut back & how
Here are a couple good link for rooting cuttings -

Most brugs won't be harmed until you get an actual frost. However, the versicolors don't like to get too cold. It's prolly a good idea to take cuttings on them now.
popyysue the 2nd site wouldn't load for me.
How do I know if I have a versicolor? I think all mine are just Brugs but is any brug just a brug :0) My knowledge of brugs isn't much but I'm trying to learn.
OK so I start a bunch of cutting.. how do I over winter them? I don't have room in the house. Will they be OK in a greenhouse? I don't know what the temp will be in it as this is our 1st year. We do plan on having some heat on real cold nites. The biggest problem here is the temp can change fast in the winter.
I want to take a few plants to Virginia & none of them have GH.. what is the best way for them to over winter them? I take it the best for cuttings is in the Y.
Thanks,

Working okay now....both are good sites.
I got it to load in IE.. I use netscape mostly. My NS is 4.7 & some pages don't work. I hate to change & if it wasn't for a few things I'd go to IE all the time. I don't like IE mail or bookmarks for one thing.
