Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Good morning all. It is clear and just nicely crisp outside this morning. Hopefully I'll feel up to going out and doing some yardening today. I have been doing a lot of clothes folding and little stuff around the house the past couple days. I did get to the doctor on Tuesday afternoon and got prescriptions so I don't go into the dreaded peumonia. I still don't have a voice to I'm not spending any time on the phone.

Kyle and his friend Tim gave Jack the plumbing order Tuesday so we went to town yesterday for the supplies. However the boys didn't show up last night to do any of the work. We got a new sink faucet too as the copper pipe in one side of the old one twisted beyond repair when Kyle tried to remove it to tighten a leaking hose connection. This one is almost identical to the old one except that the sprayer part is white instead of black. I am so tired of black. Jack even said that we will try to buy a new kitchen sink if the farm brings in enough money this fall. Yippee!! I've wanted a new one for a long time. We also looked at garbage disposal units so I can grind the kitchen compost. I use to do that with the VitaMix but stopped doing that a few months ago. It rotted down so much faster when ground and didn't attract vermin as much. When we get one we will shunt it to drain into a bucket to be carried out and put into the compost pile as a slurry.

Have any of you folks ever used those hot wax treatments for arthritis in your hands? I started doing it last week and it seems to have helped somewhat. I'm also planning to order those air pressure boots for Jack today or tomorrow. I just hope he will use them. I probably will too. My feet get so cold especially in the winter.

I guess I need to get going and turn the birds loose and feed them. The greeting we get is so heartwarming.

GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
