Bloomed while on vacation

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

I worried about the cold weather hurting my brugs while I was on vacation. But much to my surprise, everything was in full bloom when we returned. Needless to say, we slept with the windows open last night. Nat

What a great picture. Seems October is bringing out the best in brugs! Most of mine just finished, but have tons of tiny buds. The shorter days and cooler nights must get them going.

I didn't realize Whiskers so pretty. Really nice.

Oh so pretty Natalyn, and such a surprise to come home to. If you don't mind me asking, about how old are your Plants. Did you start them from seeds or were they cuttings?
Thanks for sharing the photos....... :o)

WillowWasp, The white whiskers is a year and a half old seedling given to me by Calalily early in the summer. When I got it, it was about 5 ft tall with a couple of blooms and a very small canopy. In mid summer, the ENTIRE top broke off in a storm. What you are seeing now are all new suckers that have grown and bloomed.

The orange (Charles Grimaldi, we think)is a cutting that was started not quite 2 years ago. I don't know if you can tell, but he is in a pot. But I plan to put him in the ground next year. Nat

Beautiful brugs Nathalyn. I'm glad to see you in person too, makes it easier at the swap.
If white whiskers have any little suckers, please bring me one to the swap.

Linda, I was dressed for church and won't look like that for the RU. I'll be dressed in jeans and t-shirt - - hair in a pony tail - - no makeup, with a BIG smile at the chance of getting to met everyone. :>) Nat

Your plants are beautiful nathalyn. You and your husband must have been extremely thrilled to be greeted by the wonderful sight and scents of your brugs. I've instructed my brugs and brug cuttings that they are to "grow up and be big and strong like nathalyn's brugs." :-)

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

delecie, I was glad to see that my orange brug bloomed so well, as DH was starting to grumble about having to move it inside for the winter. Now, he's strutting around like a proud papa.

I just hope that he remembers how pretty the white whiskers was, when I ask him to help me take it out of the ground.
