Welcome Gourd! So where in our world are you?

Mesilla Park, NM

Oh Ruth, You are sooooo very kind to me, in sooo many ways.. If the story wasn't so long I'd tell everyone how we became friends.. Okay, Ruth, you tell them.. It was around this same time a couple of years ago (Holloween and my daughter's Birthday).

Thank you all for the nicest welcome. I had registered here a couple of years ago but had also registered at GW at the same time, and seems like I got stuck looking up information on Gourds there and never left.. that is how I came upon getting the name Gourd. I love gourds. Right now I am learning how to manuever here through the posts. Live in Southern California and am a gourd, canna, bamboo, banana and vines nut. We live on a little over two acres and garden only on one, because it almost kills us as it is.. the other acre is all weeds. It is like a desert here, it is so hot in the summers.

I will make a trade list soon, have a committment that I am cooking for this weekend, so, gotta go do some cooking for tomorrow.

Thank you Brugie, I am beginning to feel at home and this is a good place to be, I really like it..

roadrunner: We are right on the border of San Bernardino and Riverside, CA.. on the way to Palm Springs. Let me know when it will be.. we may be able to make it, going to Albuquerque soon..

TwinLakesChef: I know, I hated to miss that.. there was that Southern Califorina Gardening Club meeting and I had committed myself, only when Bambi had e-mailed, I thought she said it would be on the 20th.. then it turned out it was the same day.
