I have a question for you!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

No matter how many brugs you have..... tell us

1. Which one was the best performer for you this season?

2. Which one made your heart sing and
your spirit soar when you looked at it?

3. And which one you are dying to get your hands on!

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

My B. creamsickle would have to be the one for me this season. However, My Herrengarten Hauser is in bud now and seems to be holding them and my B. golden lady is loaded and finally holding her buds, so that could possibly change my favorite. But creamsicle has bloomed continuously since July.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

1. My maya sport was the best performer. It's been in bloom since early spring.

2. I LOVE- LOVE- LOVE Pink Beauty (from Arlene) Just snapped this. Still not as dark as the summer color but I think it looks pretty darn good and better then the frosty color it had the other night.

Kell I don't think I'm dying to get my hands on any new one really. I'm waiting for Cala to put Eventide on her store front. I like the color and the size of that one. I'm trying to thin down my herd of plants.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

1. Pristine and Butterfly did very well for me considering that most of the others are first blooming now.

2. I love my Double Peach and my unnamed seedling White Pearl X Big.

3, I would love to have Superspot or maybe it is called SuperspotOne. The red one.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I am new to DG,so before this year I only thought a few Brugs existed,LOL!
I have to say Doc Suess this year.

2. L'Amour

3. Ole' Roth

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Ch. Grimaldi/Dr. Suess? was best performer.

Butterfly and Versi Orange were beauties.

L'Amour, and some of those pink doubles, I am dieing to get.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

My best bloomer is the white hybrid on this link
http://davesgarden.com/t/389532/ ,love the shape, holds up reasonably well thru the heat and storms (although it WAS a cool summer)and storms (including Isabelle),the flower is small, nicely shaped and has a great scent,(although it WAS a cool summer)and has bloomed almost continuously all summer. Also sets pods easily and they ripen quickly. The leaves held up in the high winds, and some of those storms did a number on some of the other brugs, this one looked like it had never been in a storm
Thinking of naming it Lake Effect......

Which one thrilled the heck out of me.....Creamsickle,and L'Amour,L'Amour is now Chucks favorite

Which am I dying for...That Lilac Flava or any flava LOL

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

I don't have any of the fancy new ones, but my Whiskers was great. It always had some flowers, but most of the time it was loaded. I'm going to plant a bunch of it next year I think.

When Cypress Garden had it's flushes it was spectacular, but a bit boring inbetween.

I can't wait to get some of the pinks Kell has, LOL

The best performer had to be my old faithful gold, of course, that is because it is only one that I had big enough to bloom. lol

I don't have any big enough to bloom yet that have made my heart sing, but just wait till next Spring.

A double pink, double pink and another double pink.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

The best performer was Kristi's White. It had this many blooms in two flushes a month apart. It's down to less than a dozen flowers now, but this flush has lasted three weeks, and it's still throwing a few shredded flowers.

Having eight brugs blooming at a time really made my heart soar! Especially the night that I went out to open our front gate at least 75 feet from the house and could smell the flowers in the backyard!

A lot of my dream brugs are cuttings rooting as we speak under fluorescent lights, but I still have L'Amour & double pink on my wish list.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

My best performer was Big Yella. Constantly in bloom and the colors changed alot so it was not boring!

My favorite is Rosamond. It was glorious and so elegant. It many not have been a real pinkie like Kristi's great one, but it was so pretty. It was always changing its shape so I was not bored with it either as the summer wore on. A no muss no fuss brug.

L'Amour I love for the color but it made me too nervous. And it is not huge enough for lots of flowers at one time. Next year it probably will move up on my list!

I used to lust after a big double dark pink brug but recently I have decided I am happy with what I have. The burning desire is gone! However, I would not turn one down if offered! So feel free! LOL

My best perfomers up til now have been:
1. charles grimaldi
2.maya
3.cypress gardens tied/w milk and honey

My heart soaring, spirit singing favorite probably is going to be my pink beauty which has just come into bloom. Creamsickle is a close second and would have been first had the color changed like it should have. I think the cool temps at night here stopped it from becoming orange.

Now are there any that i'm absolutely dying to get my hands on? No! Because there are some that I know i'll never have.
But I do maintain a small want list which includes some that i'd like to have but am not going to die if I don't get them. Here are a few :
bert--rosenquartz--rosalie--

There's a few more but I don't recall the names right now.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, your beds look like "The Garden of Eden." What is that flower in front of Rosamond with the light blue flowers?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

And of couse a TRUE red colored Brugmansia.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Whisker, Butterfly, and (Monster)White Suaveloens hybrid bloomed none stop.
Butterfly really made my heart sing. She is incredible and new to me.
Dying for Pink Beauty and L'Amour

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Donna, will bring you a small PB to the swap.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Isabella started blooming in the spring and is till blooming for me now. It stays constantly with flowers and buds.

L'Amour pulled at my heart strings along with some of the stunning ones that Susie crossed and Tracey grew the seeds out. Shirley also has a gorgeous one that it to dream about.

Feasible wish list . . . Rothkirch

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

In my first year of "colored brugs" I must say it's my old faithful (and very different) S. White, which bloomed monthly (of course it's the oldest) Please check out the lobes.

What makes my heart sing is this entire week, all 6 brugs blooming at once, GQ, S.Pink, Dr. Seuss, Whiskers, KP (or EP cuz it HAS scent) Isabella and my white. Of course I also have my tea olive blooming which makes for an incredible aroma mixing with the rest!

Wish list--BERT!
I won't rest until I have every available great scent, I'm afraid ):

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

This was my first year with brug blooms. Dr. Seuss had 3 flushes, Tropical Sunset and Frosty pink had 1 each. I loved each and every one.

I have some interesting sounding crosses that have not bloomed and I hope they make it until spring. I'm looking forward to next season and more blooms. These are really the most amazing plants.

I still want Creamsickle(?) and any of the double whites.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Linda, I can fulfill one of those wishes this weekend. (CS)

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I am like Kell, my favorite is Rosemond. It is just gorgeous. Course this is the first time I have seen it and it is the one currently blooming best!
I guess my wish list would include a double pink, and also like Monika, a true red. Maybe a blue one?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Violabird . . I also have a Tea Olive blooming and it sure does rival the brugs with its wonderful fragrance that can be recognized from a distance. I have been trying to propogate it, but without success.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Bonnie, that would be great. Thank you so much. I'm getting so excited.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Frannie, I have never been able to get my sweet olive to root either.

I have to say this year my Pink Beauty had the prettiest bloom, I say that singular because I have only had one bloom so far, but it is new, I hope to get some bigger flushes next year, but it definitely had the most beautiful flower.

Whiskers also performed well.

Black Diamond, WA(Zone 8a)

Snowbank is the only brug that I had this year, so it was obviously the best performer and my favorite. It was also enough of an introduction to get me really pumped about growing brugs next year.
Of all the brugs that I have seen others post photos of Herrenhauser-Garten is the one I would really like to have.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

Frannie, my tea olive is blooming right now also. Too bad we can't bottle that fragrance.
I've never really tried to root any of it but it apaprently can be done. I would imagine that this is how they propogate it but I don't know for sure.
I was at Brookgreen Gardens yesterday and you should have seen all of the tea olives blooming in the gardens. And the smell was overwhelming.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

I think it smells exactly like apricots--hope someone learns how to root it!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok one of us is going to have to learn how to root tea olive. Mine is also blooming and the fragrance is wonderful.

Mary, I know that you will have many more beautiful blooms on PB. She is a lovely one.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Dr. Seuss and Eric's Fragrant White did best for me in pots. I had others in the ground, but they didn't do nearly as well.

Pink Insignis made my heart soar both high when blooming and low when the wind knocked it over and it broke into pieces...

I'd love to have any double brugmansia (if they exist)

Kell, did you have a cutting give away? I missed it :*(

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

#1. Pink Beauty, Rosenquartz, Greenbank, Temple Goddess, Whiskers, and Snowbank have all bloomed non stop this
summer. Made the glasshouse so gorgeous (o:

#2. Holly's yellow brug has the best fragrance of any. And lovely on all fronts.

The simplistic beauty of Butterfly always make my heart stop.

RK brought me to my knees first it bloomed. Now blooming non stop, also.

#3. Wild forms I don't have. I love their simplistic beauty.
And guess also L'Amour .. I don't have yet.
