The forum is quiet this weekend so I will assume all of us gardening canucks are enjoying the bounty of the harvest and giving thanks for our families, friends, the great country we inhabit and the time and health to grow things. All the best to everyone and don't eat too much turkey.
happy thanksgiving everyone
Thank you jagonjune...a happy one to you and yours as well!
We are Thanksgiving tomorrow but will start cooking tonight.
Today, I'm cleaning up the garden and playing in the gh. It's a jungle in there but sure smells nice.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I hope you have a wonderful day with your families and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving from across the border! I like the date of yours better than ours. Here, we're celebrating the "myth" that Columbus discovered America, and rejoicing over the "paid holiday, long weekend." When our "Thanksgiving" comes around, the trees are bare, and there's snow on the ground, LOL. But it's still a day spent with family and friends, giving thanks for our many blessings.
All the best to you and yours.
I have had 2 Thanksgiving dinners already, one done for me yesterday, the other I did today for my family and friends. *Groaning from over eating*.
Sure couldn't have asked for nicer weather here, we ate dinner outdoors yesterday in shirtsleaves! :))
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here.
Yep was a beautiful day here too, something like 22¢ªC so I busied myself cleaning up the balkony and making the place "blizzard" ready.
Supper here is over and all are stuffed...nice to have
a day off still to look forward to...and leftovers!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and thank you for your
kind wishes zone3_newbie!
Great dinner here too. The best part was the chef didn't have to cook. Veggies from the garden and a great bronze bird raised by some friends northwest of here. And ditto looking forward to another day to chill out tomorrow.
Belated Canadian Thanksgiving to all! My family was over on the island for the 1/2 Marathon.....we ate at the Macaroni Grill in Victoria! yummy...Penne Rustica was my choice! my son came in at 1 hr and 35 minutes and my daughter, her first go at this, at 2 hrs and 11 minutes! what a proud mama I am! We have our turkey on American Thanksgvg with American friends every yr! great get together! my girlfriend and her hubby have done this dinner for 12 yrs now! Elaine
I'm impressed - your son is quick. I did my first half in Dallas 2 years ago and he would have lapped me LOL. How are all you wetcoasters doing in the floods etc.
Our gardens are in a state of shock, the grass is uuucky!, and some of the patio sidewalks had puddles! other than that, June we're still here!...me hubby and me have been glassing in a patio room for the last month, using recycled materials, glass, posts, etc, in between the overhead rains..one more window tomorrow and we're done! We are undercover and dry now! thankgoodness......most unfortunate for some other home owners, though, out in the Valley......sewers backed up into their homes, etc.......
You're lucky Elaine.
I had a mudslide and seem to have a new creek bed. But nothing like the Squamish/Whistler people ~ they're living a nightmare.
