I went to a friends house the other day and OH MY GOD!!! she had a yard full of brugs, the trunks were like as thick as maples....I will take some cuttings of hers. and would you believe they dont fertilize or water much here.... I was sooo surprised.

Maybe by the time you come back to the states, I will have a greenhouse so that I can have more brugs - - not as many as you though!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Wish you a greenhouse:-)

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

Wish me a greenhouse too Ludger.
What is the dark brug in the back? It looks like it has an eye like a daylily. Am I seeing things?

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Ludger, what is that lovely dark one on the left that looks ruffled? Gorgeous!! Did your 'Diana Remembered' hosta make it okay across the pond?

It was so nice meeting you - you are delightful!! Brenda

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Hi Brenda,

yes and thank you again!! Diana Rem. did it well over the pond. Already repotted and ready for overwintering.

I also enjoyed to meet you and your husbund.

I donŽt remember exactly from whom I got this dark couloured seedling.

Dr Preissel from Hannover and Monika did the same pollinations,I guess. Now I am confused because I got some stuff from both of them.( Sometimes dogs and ducks change the tags..:-)

Anywhere in my houseI have some old papers, I will found them during the winter for making shure which one breeded this brug.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Obiviously Preissel and Monika did not make the same cross! It needs experince in hybridizing, knowledge and a trained eye to see the differences!!!
