Brugie asked in her HG thread how many pics can one take of one bloom. I say HUNDREDS!!! I have been having a field day taking tons of pics of blooms from this one tree.

Wow Kell! Take as many pictures as you want to, I'm a willing looker. LOL

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Kell, that is a beauty! is it as fragrant as it looks? WOW!!!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Oh my that's so beautiful Kell.

O'love it~

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, your picture is beautiful. I can't get my Creamsickle to change color like yours. Just wants to stay white. Days and days of just white. I had one bloom in the garage that turned, but I took it off accidently when I moved the plant outside.

Brugie, i wonder if the pH of the soil, atmospheric pressure and fertilizer got something to do with the difference in color? wished Monika would address it. pretty sure those factors could possibly have an effect. just my 2 cents though.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

MVR, we are much cooler here. I'm sure that has something to do with it. Right now I'm not fertilizing. Too close to whack them off time. Short days probably don't help either, but I can't change that.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I have to say that this has been my favorite Brug. this year. It has bloomed nonstop for me for a couple months now.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I just love the way you can take those pictures with the black backgroud. Looks like it is picture in a magazine. So pretty. Come take pictures of my stuff. My pictures never look good.

Creamsickle is not a true peach colored hybrid but is influenced by temps and the other factors, which maevie mentioned already. Creamsickle is like Tiara, sometimes with and sometimes without color. However, Creamsickle is much more robust as Tiara. Besides that, Tiara is a shy bloomer. My Creamsickle is blooming in the unheated Greenhouse by temps of 5°C during the day, 1 - 3°C at nights. The buds keep on growing and growing, Tiara would have dropped hers by such cold temps.

thanks for the prompt reply Brugie and Monika :)!

Monika, if u remember Meiyu, who seldom post here now phoned me. she is unable to come to DG cause she has been very ill. i did not know she had breast cancer. she is due for another operation soon.

anyway, she mentioned to me that she loved the Tiara she grows. for her Tiara is a prolific bloomer and the fragrance she says is very awesome. accdg. to her aside from Tiara being a prolific bloomer for her, it is the strongest brug she had so far. Tiara is her favorite of all brugs she grows.

having said that, i am more inclined to believe, our different growing zones, soil pH, varying temperatures and fertilizer we use are indicative of the kind of growth and blooms we experience in our yards. one of the few reasons why i always mention what may work for me, may not be applicable to others. being the gardeners we are, we must use our best judgment with plants we grow.

Kell, that is one lovely bloom u got here. u do have the perfect area to grow these lovelies. thanks for sharing ur lovely photo {{{Kell}}}.

Simply gorgeous!

Dripping Springs, TX

Oh Kell you are a fickle girl! Your in luv with all your beautiful brugs--not just this one. LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

When she likes the climate, Tiara flowers very well. This may be the vine growing parts of Germany or the warmer regions along the northern Rhine areas. She needs a longer vegetation period and just as important a not too cool winterquarter to keep most roots alive.
The USA have many climate zones. In some, Brugmansias stay outside during the winter and come back with no problems.
None of them would survive even a mild middle european winter. The basic points of cultivations always stay the same but each person has to find out for itself, what he can expect of his plants.

Very, very pretty but it's not pink.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well Monika, I wish you could help me get dark pink blooms!! Even my fancy brugs look like Frosties! Misery is light pink! LOL

Oh Ma Vie, I am so sad about Meiyu! She has not posted in awhile. I had no idea she was having such a bad time. She is such a happy lady and so full of life. I will be thinking of her alot and saying a many heart felt prayers for her recovery. Please send her our love and our best wishes!

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Wonderful! I too, really like a black background to show off a bloom. If you take it at night ..close-up.. the flash lights up just the bloom.
Cheers,
Carol
