Kell, it looks lite pink.... I bet it will turn darker!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm betting it will turn a darker pink also.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

Looks like Rosamond to me, could be wrong. It should turn darker pink.

Poor stubby!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think I'd keep that one and try for more color in the spring and summer when you have the heat and more light. That is one packed seedling bed Kell. Hope you get more "pretties" out of there.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Yep, you do have a lot of brug seedlings. Save "stubby" for a while and see if it improves.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

But Stubby is too stubby! LOL. Short and stout. Here he is today. Not nearly as pretty as his parents, L'Amour and Butterfly. So not worth working with. He has nothing to offer that is new.

Though I should send him to Hummer_nut or Kristi to see if he turns red for them!

Kell, he looks pretty good to me. You hang on to him for a while! He just might surprise you!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

He looks very good to me also. A keeper! With those two as parents, don't think you can go wrong.

Independence, MO(Zone 5a)

i vote to keep stubby as well... Poor thing maybe he is just short for his age... Maybe he will try harder for you so he dont have to go.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Ya never know, Kell. Maybe he'll be an ever bloomer and knock your socks off next year. I like it! Take some more pictures...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, I think when the days are longer again, you will see a color change in this one, for the better. Not that it isn't pretty now, but it should get darker with longer days and warmer temps.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

I agree with poppysue...next time could knock your socks off. Keep us photo posted.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Poor Stubby may just be a late bloomer, like me!!
Save Stubby!! It may be saving it's strength for the Big Surprise!

Kell, I would love to have a couple of cuttings of Stubby, if you are going to toss him. I'm looking for a couple of short stubby brugs to put in pots in the circle in my driveway. The ones that grow really tall wouldn't work there.

Let me know and I will send you postage.

LOL. I saw this on the front page and just could not place it. It looks so ugly! It did improve bu tmy socks are still on Deb! LOL!

Sylvia, the name came from the stubby little blooms. The plant is huge. It is the tallest seedling I have. It stands so tall I can not reach up and pick off the yellow leaves.

The flowers all have an underbite!
This is Stubby a year later. The one in the center in bloom.

Kell, she is pretty. She needs a better name than "Stubby". LOL!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Kell... who is the parents of Stubby? i think she will surprise u one day soon. maybe light color now, but when days get much warmer, the color may be darker.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)
