Trick or Treat? Pink Beauty in her new costume

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

As a Frosty Pink!!! WAAAHHHHHH.... I'm going to cry. Just look at that flush then look at that color. Kell- I blame you. You've spread your frosty curse to New Jersey, LOL....

This was just taken. What a difference the COLD weather has on blooms.

BIG difference! My Rosamond was a lot lighter when it got cold too. It's still purdy... and it looks nuthin like Frosty!

Isn't that sad? Okay it might not have a frosty shape but it sure has the frosty color! Poor thing needs to hurry up and go dormant. I can't take it anymore.....

LOL . . I remember when everyone loved those pastel colors and were seeking them.

She is still a pretty one, no matter how intense the color.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

That is a beauty(the summer color, long tendrils). A keeper!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh my!!! That summer color is to die for! I have to be satisfied with your cold color even in the summer!! Woe is me!!! Though there is still hope, I have not seen PB bloom yet, just Rosamond!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I agree! This is one I wouldn't be without. This is by far my favorite brug. It really does have it all.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

Kristi, my rosamond and L'amour is blooming now and the color is close to your summer color of PB, also my frosty blooming now has almost as much color as your PB in summer. My rosamond and L'amour has almost identical coloration. Both have a deep pink porcelain look unlike any other brug I have. Still working on getting a photo that does justice to these two. I have a Jamaican yellow blooming now that is yellow NOT, it is as white as can be after one day blooming. I am sure that weather and fertilizer make a difference in flower color.

I don't think I'll ever get this much depth in the color of my PB. In fact, it barely bloomed this year. The freeze too all the blooms from the one big flush that was coming. Next year and I hope it looks just like yours Kristi.

Wow, what a difference! I didn't realize that the air temperature affects the color of the Brug's bloom! I thought it was determined by their genetic make-up!!

We also got the "frosty" curse last week. I covered all my Brugs and other plants with burlap and sheets. It was quite an interesting sight to behold! Thank goodness it feels like Indian summer this week! Brugs are responding by blooming again.
