Hmmmmmmmm, if thats love lies bleeding, then what do you call what i have growing? It's tall green stalks, with little pink like beads hanging down from the stems?? Anyone know? Wish my camera was working.
Interesting! I didn't realize that there were other forms of love-lies-bleeding. I like the tassles on this one. Thanks for posting it. Is it in a public heirloom rose garden?
Hmmmm, mine grew about 6-7 ft. tall and had those wonderful light pink tails hanging down! Could it be kiss me over the garden gate?? I will have to look that one up.
Pony Tails was an unexpected beauty that I bought from the Territorial Seed CO. It was just what I needed in this heirloom rose garden that was a little absent of drama in the late summer.
tootsie, yours sounds like the typical Amaranthus caudatus ("Love-lies-bleeding") like this image: http://plantsdatabase.com/showpicture/25759/
There are also green varieties and different shades of maroon/red/rust: http://plantsdatabase.com/b/Amaranthaceae/Amaranthus/caudatus///
