RK is not a favorite!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It is has too much rounded recurve for me! When it is starlike, I love it but the recurve seems to be most of the time.

The blooms are not stately like Rosamond or statuesque like L'Amour. More feminine and petite.

See the prominent recurve! Almost distorts the flower.

It may be do to the cold nights here. It gets down to the 50s.

and look who I found checking out my flower! I still do not know if this is friend or foe. He better leave my stamen alone.

But by the pictures I do have pollen on this one.......so I better go grab it!

Ok Kell, just send it to me! I will see what it does here in Texas . . LOL

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Hey, Frannie, you took the words right out of my mouth. lol

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Please, can anyone bring such a "Rothkirch" to the GA-RU?
Not for me:-) I really would like to see it. Only a short watching.I will not touch it...:-)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Ludger, write to gone2seed and see, I think he's one of the few coming to the swap that has it.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Bonnie, thank you for this information! I will contact.

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

Your bug is a Katydid and they eat Brug flowers! They leave big holes and nasty looking poop behind. Hurry up and grab it!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So Ludger, what do you think it is since you obviously do not think it is a real RK. I have no idea myself but have been told on good authority that it is. I understand NH is reputable.

What exactly do you want to look for to determine if it is or not? Maybe I could check it for you.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Painted lady, it is to big to kill. I couldn't murder it. I checked the bloom when I got home and it had not eaten it. I have never heard of katydids, so I do not think we have them here. I hope! LOL

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Ok...if you are having problems I'm way out of the
ballpark! Not even on the same planet! I'll take
a Creamsickle instead! ;~D
I can dream can't I?!?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

They're like grasshoppers Kell. I have never seen a grasshopper here in 20 years. Until this hot, dry summer. They munch, and munch.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

How do you kill them? They are so big. Do they crunch? Woe is me Liz!

Lilypon, a Creamsickle is not that hard to get! It is like the poor man's HG! LOL

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I don't know Kell, I've never had them before. But it's raining here now and they're gone. Maybe they moved to SF?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Liz! If it had to be, I wish they did so under the skirt of one of your fancy brugs!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

They crunch Kell...Saskatchewan has lots of them :(
They come out when it's hot and dry...that's why
Liz has had the pleasure of their company.

I haven't found anyone here with Creamsickle...yet!
But I do know where I can find HG.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I would like to see this plant.I even am watching different E.P.s and other pink versis.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i helped make creamsickle a poor man's brug, sent to 15-20 people, including ms kell, which exponentially means 100s of people might have it by now.
i am so happy i finally conquered my brug lust. seedlings are of the most interest to me now.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I like to be a poor man:-) growing brugs and having good friends makes me happy.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene, I've sent out over 30 boxes of cuttings this year. It is a lot of work, but a lot of people should enjoy them in the future. I got my creamsickle from you last year and am spreading the wealth this year. I, like you, love doing seedlings. So much anticipation involved with them.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I got my Creamsikle from Brugie last year... and have spread the surplus this year too :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was referring to the easy blooming of Creamsickle compared to HG. I think HG is probably easier to get for no one wants it anymore.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I would love to have a blooming H. G. but so far it is little bloomless for me. This may be my last year to worry about this one.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Exactly my point!! LOL

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I totally agree. I had such high hopes for it, too. Dreams of beautiful orange double blooms.

Social Circle, GA(Zone 8a)

I think it is just.....WOW. I love the recurve-a little more and it could be inside out;) I am new to brugs, is it an undesireable trait? I like it.
