Brug Spaceing Question

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm new to growing Brugs and have seen lots of huge plants.
I'm getting my beds ready to Plant them in come spring and would like to know how big do they get and is there a "Rule of Thumb" on spaceing. I know they get pretty tall but what about width? How much room do they need?

They should get pretty tall where your at. The width is kind of up to you. You can always cut them into a standard/umbrella shape. I have a couple crammed in behind other things because they need the shade and wind protection.

Good thing you mentioned shade. I was going to plant one in the open....guess that would have been a mistake.
So they like shade, and a protected spot? I can handle that, have several other places to put them in. Some I will leave in pots and can move around with the tractor....How do you think they will do with 50/50, morning sun. It gets pretty hot here so do you think this might be to much sun?

I'm also in TX. I have some in morning sun, afternoon and some crammed under things. The heat really makes them wilt. And the wind really makes their leaves look ratty. I would put them in 50/50 unless you water them a twice a day--everyday.

Ok, Desert rose, I will keep that in mind. I may not get it watered that much in the summer. We had a awful lot of rain this summer but maybe not next...
thanks for the information..... :o)
