The big question... Is this the real Rosa Traum?

Could you show more of the leaves, especially new little leaves? I just got some cuttings from a lady that were supposed to be Rosa Traum & Rosamond, but she didn't mark which ones were which! I got them on Saturday, and one of them had little roots starting on Sunday!

Great shots Sue. I really now have an idea about this brug looks!

Sue, wish I could help but I don't have this one and lack knowledge of it.

LOL. I missed the question! I have no idea. But I have too many of the Frosty types already!

I don't much about any of the brugs. I just know that if a little piece ever happens to fall off and you don't know what to do with it, send it my way. LOL

Hi Susan, great pictures. This was my one and only pod until last week when all of a sudden, Y's came from nowhere and babies popped out all over. What is wrong with it and should I scrap it and let the little ones try? I waited all summer and now that it's getting close to frost, I'm finally getting pods. So, is this one a looser? George

poorgeorge: Is this also a Rosa Traum? Looks great to me, except for the one pod, looks like it got frosted, or something damaged it??

Sue: Look at the pics of R. Traum. Looks pretty close, what do you think?

George, there's no way you can dig that puppy up and bring it in? I would try to root the whole central stem and keep that Y intact. You'll prolly loose those buds,... but in the long run you'll have a nice shaped plant, that will bloom a lot earlier next year for you. It might even bloom inside this winter.

I think everyone here has had plants bud up late and not make it before the frost. I sometimes wonder if it's a survival thing with brugs... it knows winter's coming so now it's trying to hurry up and flower!

Read Kell's plastic bag method for rooting....
