Time for a new picture from me....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is Double Peach. I've waited all summer for this one to bloom and I'm certainly not disappointed. It was pretty when it first opened, but it just keeps getting better. I'll post this first picture and then give you a shot of it from inside. I think you will like this one.

Shirley

I do have to say that I won't be giving out cuttings of this one this year. The top is not big at all and it needs time for growing. I will share next fall if it is still living. :)

Okay, the inside.....Some look full inside while others show the stigma and anthers very well. This one happens to be full.

On second thought, no I will wait till in the morning, it's dark and we have BIG oppossums.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Tracey...I'm LOL here.
CC, I try to wait for you. :) Must be that cold NY air that slows down your Versi's. This one lived in full sun this summer and seemed to love it tho it did take a long time for it to bud. It is over six foot, but I'm not sure where the cutting came from, basal or top. Hang in there...this one is worth every minute it takes.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Absolutely great pics Brugie! Is it blooming like that in your garage? LOL. Your garage must be the place to be if you are a shy bride.

Is the color similar to Creamsickle? I notice some of my Creamsickles do not turn till the flower is almost spent. How is the size compared to Creamsickle? And the scent?

Does anyone know who the parents are?

am I being a pest? Sorry! LOL
Just great Brugie!

This one opens peach. I agree, Creamsickle waits until almost gone to turn. It is outside now Kell. We are having wonderful weather in the upper 70's. The size is a bit smaller than creamsickle, but all the blooms have been double and creamsickle gives me some singles. The fragrance is strong like Versicolor Orange. The bloom is stronger than the creamsickle bloom too. I think it will hold up better. I'd say it might be a bit more orange looking too. Now, I'm going to go watch the news.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Wow!
Shirley, you did good with this one (o:

I have this brug ..or similar. Tall and lanky, too ..no crown.
My blooms are huge, though. I think bigger than Creamsickle ..??
Will have to compare.
Your's is blooming better than mine.
I usually just get a couple at a time.

Great photo!

Beautiful and I am so happy you got to see this one bloom. I love the fragrance of V. Orange . . it just does not get any better than that. It sounds like a perfect brug to me.
