Here is V.Peach all trimmed up and freshly planted. I expect it will be towering over the polkadot in no time. Thank you again for a gift to a newbie at Dave's.

You are doing a great job Frogs! If I can help you with any cuttings, let me know. I don't have much left, but maybe it is something that you may not have.
Looks like V. Peach will be setting buds very soon if not already. Looks good, so does the ear. Glad I could help you out.
Thank you for the offer BrugNanny.
LOL something I don't have. I got my very 1st brugs in July from Brugie: V. Peach and Tropical Sunset which is going out front since it seems determined to be a bushier brug than its cousin. I have a Jessie Noel from SoCal and a couple of small "gee, I wonder what its gonna be" brugs.
I hear that there will be cuttings from Brugie at the So Cal RU so I am hoping for something pink or white.
Buds? Its just a baby! Will they bloom in the winter? My neighbor around the corner has brugs that bloom pretty much year round but they are 8' tall. I drool every time I drive by. They are gorgeous right now. They must have hundreds of blooms.
The reason I said that is because it looks like it has made a Y already or is that two different branches?
Ummm...... My uneducated eye would say that the main trunk has split into two branches. It is a Y but is that THE "Y"? There seems to be no "action" going on at the split. I don't know what I am looking for. Kind of like labor I guess. They can tell you about it all day but it isn't the same as being there. Maybe I san send you grandbrug pictures in the near future lol.
Doesn't seem fair. I am tossing my brugs into the garden and looking for buds and all of your beautiful brugs are hostage in the garage.
If it looks like it split and didn't just shoot a new branch, you will be getting buds before long. I'm a peeker and always look down into the new growth and sometimes you can see those buds popping out. The V. Peach buds will stand nearly straight up until they get some size to them and then gradually they will lay over and down. It is a pretty one and it smells great.
How exciting! Do they usually bloom that quickly? I will watch every day as I search to make sure there are no caterpillars. Nasty little green caterpillars eating my brugs-as if the hornworms were not enough!
If that cutting was taken from the flower region, I would not be surprised. It has been long enough for them to start setting buds. Good luck. You might want to try a cutting from the trunk later, but with time, it will get taller anyway.
Shirley, I didn't know you were a peeping tomette. lol Hey brug lovers, why don't you have a roundup in South Texas next year. I bet Susie would love that and so would I.
I am hoping (eventually) for a big, big brug from V. Peach. I put it in that corner so it would have lots of room and can get as tall as it wants. If it starts to show signs of being a brug that will get quite tall, I will move it forward a couple of feet as the yard destruction project continues.
A cutting! Poor thing hasn't even gotten a bloom yet and she's snipping at it! LOL. Brug people are into propogation . I am still at the please don't die on me stage.
The biggest mine has ever been is about 4 ft. tall. Of course, I usually start out each year with a new cutting. No room up here in the north to winter over big plants. I counted tonight and I have 124 cuttings in the house. I think I have lost my mind.
I don't know about your mind, but you have certainly lost your parking place. Here in neverfrostland there are brugs as high as the house to be found. I hope the babies you sent me like it here and will do the same.
