For reasons that I cannot phathom, some people seem to feel that pets are disposable and dump them at the mills where they are frightened and if they are not run over by a truck or forklift they are left to fend for themselves. Over the past few years I have tried to earn their trust, feed them and try to find them homes. So far I have managed to remove over 30 animals to safe homes but several have gone so wild that although they will come and wait for me to feed them They will not be tamed. This first one is Al Jolson. His black faced and sings (howls) to get my attention when he wants to eat. This amazing animal seems to be almost completely blind but manages to survive by listening. He avoids all other cats and people but has learned where the food is. He will let me get about 8 feet from him but any closer he is off like a rocket.
