Monocromatico, in which zone are you? I'm asking, because you always post great pictures of extremely beautiful flowers/plants (many of which I had never seen before) and would like to know if they would grow in my area (a ninish zone).
Thanks,
Ursula
Iīm beyond zone 11. Rio de Janeiro, to be more precise, right on the tropics. Most of the plants I post here are natives or largelly cultivated here. Unless they somehow can resist cooler places, I guess the ideal places to plant them would be Hawaii, Florida, Puerto Rico, South California, and places with similar climatic conditions.
Fantastic picture.
Oh, thankya
WOW, that explains it all!
From what I have seen of the world, your country is al gardener's dream. I think God himself is a gardener and that he plays with dirt in Brazil.
Please keep posting your breath taking pictures.
Saludos de Chile,
Ursula
Sincerely, I dislike this climate. Itīs too hot for me. But since the plants love it, I canīt really complain :^)
Thanks for your comments

Hmmm... the leaves are profoundly different, and the flowers are pink. Many Ericaceae have these bell shaped flowers. I know another one from the same places where Agarista can be found called Gaylussacea brasiliensis, with red bell shaped flowers, pretty much like that Arbutus, although Gaylussacea is a short herb. Vaccinum is another known genus with flowers very close to those of Agarista.
