Not bad, huh? Lets not forget she survived the huricane winds we had a couple weeks back.
I think she needs a name now. The seeds from KBS x maya sport did germinate so I'm guessing this is not KBS.....
This plant has been one of my best performers this summer. It's been in bloom since EARLY spring. Bugs leave it alone, it sets seed pods like mad, it's very fragrant, and the foliage is pretty. It's a nice peachy/orange color in the heat of the summer and it's a mellow yellow color as of tonight. I'm wondering if it will turn a darker color in the next few days. It's really a great plant to have around.
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
This was taken a few minutes ago- The foliage is showing a little drop from the cold temps last night.
Maya sport in Oct. after temps of 31F last night
Kristi, that is a beauty!!! So what are you going to name her?
She certainly looks worthy of a name to me. It's a beauty Kristi. Nice photos.
WOW, lovely.
So you guys do like her? I'm so happy to hear that!!! THANK you.
I'm hoping someone can come up with a good name?! I'm not very good at that sort of thing!
Kristi. . very pretty and she is such a strong plant that blooms alot also. I bet it has a wonderful fragrance also.
Cameo Apricot
Orange Vanilla
Dove Flight (the tendrils look like flying birds in that second photo :)
Kristi, she is very pretty. Yes, keep her and name her. I'm not good with names either, but I'll try to come up with something.
Citrus Fizz
Citrus Curls
Pumpkin Pillows

Pumpkin pillows! I like that Shirl :)
I'm so glad you guys are coming up with some names! I like Pumpkin pillows too! Fitting since I LOVE halloween time.
I like this brug. Can´t wait to see my green Mayasport with flowers. Must wait till next year:-)
If you like Hallowe'en how about 'Witches Pink'
Witchingmoor
I too, like a name with Pumpkin in it.
So glad you didn't get frozen at 31 degrees, I did..... Everything looks terrible!
Kristi:
She's beautiful. My choices for names are:
Elan-(this is French for spirit)She obviously has plenty of spirit since she survived a hurricane and below freezing temperatures.
Pumpkin Spice
Tenacity
I love the August colors. I can't think of a name but she needs one.
I love all the names and I especially love your plant Kristi. very pretty! Much prettier blooms than my maya has!!
It is certainly lovely, Kristi, how about Pumpkin Kiss?
I would love a piece, are you going to be taking cuttings?
That is really turning out to be a nice one, in all ways.
Love that one! Nice recurve!
Kristi, my sport opened tonight. it has the longest, thickest tendrils of any brug i own, i think. it seems the tendrils are longer than on KBS but maybe it's these old eyes. when i went out tonight, the recurve was just like yours, so pretty. didn't open til almost dark, hope i will get to see some color. right off they look the same to me so far.
Kristi, did you name her? Maybe I missed it.
Gotta love this brug. It is a beauty Kristi. It is one of those gotta haves someday.
Wow!
I'm so glad it bloomed Arlene! I think you'll really like it. Still haven't come up with a name Shirley. I should work on that. Deb you've got email coming your way *grin*
Kristi
Kristi
She looks great and is pretty hardy to take 30 degrees and look that good. Congrats.
Do you have cuttings? Is there already one named "Dreamsickle" Isn't that what the orange and white pop sickle was named? Maybe Orange swirl, or Pumpkin swirl.
Kristi, congratulations! This hybrid is a beauty! I hope, you will find a nice name for it!
Pumpkin Spice? She looks like a spicy girl, just beautiful, Kristi!
Arlene, love yours too! What's her name?
Very pretty Arlene. I really like this brug.
Gosh Arlene ... that is a beauty too!
Vi, this is complicated.... should be the same as Kristi's, as it is a sport off the maya she sent me, as is hers.
Deb, no name til Kristi decides.... I think they are the same?? mine hasn't changed colors yet, still white.
Brugie, it is a nice brug. i may plant maya and KBS everywhere next year and wait for sports, lol.
So pretty Kristi! Do not share its beauty with your cranky neighbors!
OK Kristi, I thought I was bad with names, LOL!
Not too much going on now, so start a 'name' thread, she needs one (~;
