Maya sport in Oct. after temps of 31F last night

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Not bad, huh? Lets not forget she survived the huricane winds we had a couple weeks back.

I think she needs a name now. The seeds from KBS x maya sport did germinate so I'm guessing this is not KBS.....

This plant has been one of my best performers this summer. It's been in bloom since EARLY spring. Bugs leave it alone, it sets seed pods like mad, it's very fragrant, and the foliage is pretty. It's a nice peachy/orange color in the heat of the summer and it's a mellow yellow color as of tonight. I'm wondering if it will turn a darker color in the next few days. It's really a great plant to have around.
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?

This was taken a few minutes ago- The foliage is showing a little drop from the cold temps last night.

Kristi:

She's beautiful. My choices for names are:

Elan-(this is French for spirit)She obviously has plenty of spirit since she survived a hurricane and below freezing temperatures.

Pumpkin Spice

Tenacity

I love the August colors. I can't think of a name but she needs one.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

What a difference a night makes. Look at the recurve on the blooms! She is also starting to get her color.

I love all the names and I especially love your plant Kristi. very pretty! Much prettier blooms than my maya has!!

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

It is certainly lovely, Kristi, how about Pumpkin Kiss?

I would love a piece, are you going to be taking cuttings?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

That is really turning out to be a nice one, in all ways.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Love that one! Nice recurve!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Kristi, my sport opened tonight. it has the longest, thickest tendrils of any brug i own, i think. it seems the tendrils are longer than on KBS but maybe it's these old eyes. when i went out tonight, the recurve was just like yours, so pretty. didn't open til almost dark, hope i will get to see some color. right off they look the same to me so far.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kristi, did you name her? Maybe I missed it.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Do you have cuttings? Is there already one named "Dreamsickle" Isn't that what the orange and white pop sickle was named? Maybe Orange swirl, or Pumpkin swirl.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Very pretty Arlene. I really like this brug.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Gosh Arlene ... that is a beauty too!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Vi, this is complicated.... should be the same as Kristi's, as it is a sport off the maya she sent me, as is hers.
Deb, no name til Kristi decides.... I think they are the same?? mine hasn't changed colors yet, still white.
Brugie, it is a nice brug. i may plant maya and KBS everywhere next year and wait for sports, lol.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So pretty Kristi! Do not share its beauty with your cranky neighbors!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

OK Kristi, I thought I was bad with names, LOL!

Not too much going on now, so start a 'name' thread, she needs one (~;
