Installing IE on a computer with no internet connection ...

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

I know how stupid that sounds, and I hate that I can't figure this out, but ...

I need to install IE6 on my sister's computer, to use offline. Her 'puter is not connected to the net and it will be somewhat difficult to get it connected. The install of IE upgrades downloaded from microsoft requires an internet connection to work. *sigh*

I wiped her hard drive and installed her OS (98SE) fresh. Since the 'puter is not to be internet connected, I didn't re-install her NIC, which is how it was connected before. I really don't want to install anything unnecessary. It's an old P2, around 300 mhz, 4 gigs of HD ... I want it as clean and fast as it can possibly be. It is to be used as a speech device (my sister lost her ability to speak to a major stroke in February).

Unfortunately, the program I'm trying to install requires IE5.5 or above. Apparently, 98SE came with IE5. *sigh*

Any ideas?
