Under Water Shears

Clatskanie, OR(Zone 8a)

Need a pair of long handled shears to trim water plants like lilies or what ever. Here is what to do to make your own. Buy a low cost hand blade shear, $10.
Buy an inexspensive rake handle, $3-4.
Six feet or so of heavy nylon twine.
a 2 inch piece or air line tubing.
3 or 4 zip ties or water proof tape.
carve one end of hanle flat as to fit the contour of
the shears handle.
Assemble as per photo.
You will have shears at half the price of what a ready made one cost and you can say you did it yourself!
