Lost my little friend

Henne my parakeet. I feel so bad, his little girlfriend is flying from room to room wondering where he is. She pops her head in the rooms, and chirps, waits a second and goes on to another room. Bless her heart. I cant help but think he had West Nile. I had it, and am wondering if he got it from a mosquito also, he was only 1½ years old. I almost feel guilty, tho I know there was nothing I could do. 76summerwind just gave me a great idea... make a memory garden. So Im thinking I will make ones with some daylilies and brugs.
