'Send a link' not working

My browser is Internet Explorer and my email is through Outlook Express. A few months ago someone set up Netscape 7 and a Hotmail account for me. The Hotmail is accessed through my OE account. Before this happened I could click on 'Send a link' or 'Send a page' and my email would open up with that link in it. Once Netscape was set up if I clicked on 'Send a link' it opened up to Netscape which I didn't want. I ended up removing Netscape but then when I clicked on 'Send a link' nothing happened. I talked to a service rep at my cable provider and she said that it had to do with problems between Microsoft and Netscape and that a law suit had been going on about it. She said I needed to re-install IE 6 SP1 and that would make it work. Well, it didn't. I still can't send a link without copying and pasting the URL manually. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.
