This is Kristi's White, a single white brug that had a handful of shredded blooms a month ago when it was covered in blooms. Well, it's blooming again, and has a handful of shredded blooms again. It set these buds AFTER the heat had stopped, because it was blooming before right at the end of the hot weather. My sister Julie has one too, & has a handful of shredded blooms on hers, too. She knows that they came after the heat, because she defoliated everything & sprayed for bugs right before we got 11 inches of rain around labor day.
Shredded again!
That is pretty. What was it supposed to be? Not shredded?
It's a single white one that just started having some shredded blooms this summer. Kyle told me that it was because of the heat, but it hasn't been hot since all of the rain around labor day. Julie has one just like it, and has some shredded blooms on hers, too. I really like this one. It has a lovely fragrance, & has never been bothered by spider mites, even when ones near it were. It's a sturdy plant & never had to be staked until this last month, & that's only because it REALLY needs a bigger pot. It fell over several times until I set it down in a bigger pot with concrete blocks all the way around it, & bricks on top of the soil (lovely picture, right?). I didn't want to pot it up because it was so full of buds, then as soon as the first flush finished, it was full of buds again. It came from Kristi (Datdog) & we've just been calling it Kristi's White. If she decides to name it, I'll change the tag to whatever she wants. Julie & I will both have cuttings to share if anybody wants them. My plant has a big shoot coming up from the bottom, & Julie has one planted in the ground that will be cut back in a few weeks. Here's a picture of the whole plant taken a month ago, this flush of blooms has just as many.
Great bunch of blooms in this last picture. This is a nice white!!
That is cool! A geat blooming one. Very nice!
Wow! That is loaded. Very pretty!
Beautiful!
That is one neat plant Ronna! I like the way the shreded blooms look.
It's YOUR baby, Kristi! This is the second time in a row that it had some shredded flowers on two plants, so maybe it will continue that way next year. You are absolutely welcome to cuttings if you want some. We've just been calling it Kristi's White, so if you decide on a different name, just let me know & I'll change the tags.
