Very lovely! Bet the hummingbirds just love this beauty. Never heard of or seen this plant, would love to get my hands on some seeds.

I wish I could capture the true red of the blooms, but because of their intensity, my digital camera has trouble reproducing it. There are not many plants that have a true deep red bloom. I had never seen these before either. There were only 10 of these plants at the nursury where I purchased it and they sold out in a day or two. I only bought 3 to try them out and should have bought more. I ahve not seen any seeds, but I am trying to collect some. If I do, I'll let you know.

By the way, the leaves are much more of a true green also. I tried to adjust the color on the blooms which of course changed the color of the leaves.

That's a really pretty flower. It doesn't look much like the petunia I expected to see! I'll have to keep my eye out for that one. Really striking. A new one to me. Thanks for posting it.

roshana,
Good to hear from you again! No the blooms do not look like a petunia at all. The bloom actually is shaped like a large salvia or sage bloom. It stands well above the plant which is low growing. I mentioned above in reply to darlenecom that I am going to keep trying to take a photo that shows the true color of the flower and will post it if I am successful. Thanks for your comment! :o)
