Lovely! I bought one this early winter and it is thriving indoors. I can't wait to get it outside to see it really take off in growth! When in the summer does it flower? Can you describe location of yours and how tall and wide yours gets, please?

Yes it does flower in summer a bit, but not profusely, provided it gets some water. It flowers profusely after the rains, by October. Mine is about 4 feet tall with a spread of about 3 feet. And my soil where it is growing is not very fertile, but in full sun. It is doing well that way. The profusion is best explained this way: ladies use it to adorn behind their heads after making them into a bunch and string them together - a tradition here. And it looks georgeous, esp. this variety! Hope this info helps.

Hi Dinu,

Yes, it helps immensely! I will have to keep it in a container, so that ought to keep the shrub from getting too large. I will be able to place it perfectly, thanks to you. Thanks so much!

You are welcome, Joseph. I wish you all the very best with that and gardening as well.

I can see why women like to wear the flowers in their hair in your country, Dinu. One last question, are the flowers fragrant?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

The flowers are not fragrant. They are just attractive! Jasmine, when adorned that way has a pleasant fragrance around.

Thank you, Dinu, I can't wait to see the flowers on my plant this summer! A good summer to you!
