Icredible, Beautiful Bloom..reminds me of Palomino by Hall of Chicago 1951 with the Haunting Pink Falls and Standards and faint Halo like band on the Edge of the Falls as well, wonder if it is a child of Palomino or another Hall seedling such as Happy Birthday.
Thank you for your kind words. I HAVE to get this iris back (lost in a move 7 years ago) because there's nothing else quite like it in my garden! Pedigree is: ('Mission Sunset' x ('Nike' x 'New Frontier')) X 'Spanish Flair',and Nike IS a child of Palomino so you are spot on! Shelly aka puttytat
:-) I know how that is..then again ..You were lucky enough to atleast grow it and get some beautiful pics.to preserve it in that regard.I have been looking for 'Briar Rose' by Hall and 'Pink Clover' by Whiting to other old pinks for over two years now and I am about to give up..please let me know if you ever come across those two in your quest for Touch of Envy. Respectfully, Sandra aka themikesmom :-)
Sandra, Check with DG member Carlos (username CHA) in Chicago. He lists Pink Clover as available for trade but I'm not sure how up-to-date that is. I've never seen either offered in catalogs but I will keep eyes & ears open for you! Shelly
