when i was younger, we used to buy an applie pie from the bakery. it was a normal applie pie with rasions in it but the topping was what made it special. the topping was thick, white and sweet and hard. if anyone has this recipe, i would like to have it. i believe the pie was called either french applie or dutch apple but have not found one recipe which describes this white coating. thanks
