Transplant Questions

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

My babies from Brugie are ready to go into the ground. Poor babies are chewed from out bug invasion this year. So, do I plant them at level with the dirt in the pot or bury them deeper?

One of them has this interesting growth spurt at the base. Should I remove the extra or just bury it? I do not want to have to wear a shirt like Roadrunner's! LOL

It won't hurt to bury them deeper. Those little sprouts will grow into new stems. I usually remove the sprouts on mine. I don't like them to get too bushy.... But then again, if I think I'd want the extra stems for cutting material I leave them.

They have grown very well in not too long of time. Can I move in with you....I'd love to be in that warm climate. LOL!!

Brugie, we'll just put a gazebo on the roof. 60's at night will mean nothing to you. I do feel a little bit guilty about putting out the winter garden when all of you are gearing up for a real winter. If I had to do all of that I would probably put down cement and paint flowers on it. lol. I have had 3 days of frost in 7 years in this area. I hear that cuttings are coming from you to the Ca roundup. Thank you so much. I hope I can coax a couple to do as well as these two.
