Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Good morning, all. It's 6:40-ish here on the West Coast, and the sun is just creeping over the fog on the SF Bay: misty-cool and pink. Very pretty.

People from the job I left over a year ago have been pestering me to "do a cherry run" - so it looks like I'm taking a vacation day on Monday to run 100#'s up to them. They sort of would like for me to go back to working for them, but what they *really* want are the Bing Cherries! THEN, people at my current job got wind, and so it looks like I'll be running more cherries on Tuesday! Good thing we have a few *really big* ice chests!

Apricot season is in full swing - mmmmm! I actually never liked apricots - until I tasted a real tree-ripened one! Nectarine and Peach season is just barely beginning - mmmmm! It's hotter than H***, but fresh produce Heaven is in full swing! Strawberries red all the way through - and what? Why would you ever need sugar on them? Bing Cherries, big, plump, deep, plum red in the center with almost black skin. Followed by Apricots, Nectarines, Peaches (White Peaches - drool!) and Sweet Corn! Yummy, yummy! It is worth the 100 mile round trip to the city to be able to live here surrounded by orchards and fields! ...save the money, pay off the bills, keep the faith - I'm gonna own me a small orchard one day, I am!

Take care, everyone. Many blessings to you and have a wonderful day!

Karla
