Fall Jungle soon it will all be flat

It won't be long before all this growth is frozen back and my back yard is flat. Working like crazy to get everything ready for winter

All your hard work will be rewarded when you can once again plant them in the ground in the Springtime. Until then, your gorgeous tropical gardens will be preserved through photographs and memories! :~)

Don't you just hate this time of the year. Seems like so much more work digging them up than it was planting them. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next spring. Bet it will be beautiful.

You can leave them in the ground can't you?? It looks wonderful. What is the ear on the bottom front left?

The ee is Xanthsoma sagittaefolium. Yes, I can leave most of the plants in the ground. There are a few gingers that I have to lift. Keep experimenting with ees every year to see if they will survive in zone 8a. It is rather surprising that some of the plants that are listed as hardy in 9 and 10 have been hardy here. Must be the mulching. Thanks for the kind words. I love my plants.
