When I delete files, the message comes up about sending them to the recycle bin. But when I look in the recycle bin, there is never anything there! I know there is a command to not put files into the recycle bin but to delete them permanentally but that option is not checked on this computer. I have increased the size of the recycle bin on the options menu, but that hasn't helped. I don't remember if files ever went to the recycle bin on this computer-Dell Latitude laptop with Windows 2000, refurbished and purchased in Nov. 2002.
I was wondering if anyone here would have some suggestions about how I can make my files actually go to the recycle bin. Yesterday I accidentally deleted a really important picture file (to me!) so I've just got to get this recycle bin problem fixed! I can't find the actual recycle bin folder on the C drive list, so I'm wondering if the icon on the desktop doesn't actually have a folder to use? And if not, can I create a folder and just point the recycle bin icon on the desktop to it somehow?
Thanks.
