Very striking flowers, much more exotic than those without stripes or lines. Great photos...how are you making collages of 3? That looks handy for sending in multiple shots of leaf, flower, and whole plant.
Toxicodendron,
I work with my digital photos in Adobe PhotoDeluxe which allows me to create various canvas sizes into which I can copy and paste as many individual photos as I wish. I imagine most other image editing programs would have similar capability.

these iris are absolutely fabuloso
Does anyone know how this iris would do in southern California? It is really beautiful but do not want to order it unless I know it will bloom out here. I have three lilliputs and found out afterward I ordered and planted them, they do not bloom unless they have a "freeze". So I am sending them to a friend in Chicago and Fresno.
Any input would be much appreciated.

Arilbreds generally do best in areas with minimal (or no) summer rainfall. They like to get some moisture before bloom and none afterwards until they break summer dormancy in the fall. OYEZ only survived in my climate for a couple of years before disappearing, but I don't know what caused its demise: summer rainfall, frigid winters, iris borers - could have been any or all or something else entirely.
OYEZ is known to be rather fussy for a number of gardeners, so if you want something easy and reliable, it probably isn't the best choice. It sure is worth it if you can get it to bloom, though.

Does anyone know a vendor who sells this iris? Legit
