Stictocardia, Hawaiian Sunset Vine, Hawaiian Bells (Stictocardia beraviensis)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just sent this pic to the girls Sue and then realized it was your picture. It is so incredible. i just love it!!!
is it hard to grow?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Kell, it grew like crazy... but I only had a couple of flowers on it. The blooms are really pretty but they're sorta small for the size vine that it is. They were hidden under the leaves too. I don't know if it would really put on a good show as a landcape plant. I grew it in a container and it vined up to 7 feet or so. I started chopping it off when it got too tall. In a climate like your it might take over your yard.

Is it an annual?

I wonder if it takes a few years for it to give off lots of flowers. I have an incredible purple vine that hardly flowered at all for several years and now it is amazing!!!

It's a tender perennial... Logee's says zone 10 and up in their catalog.
