Zip Disk Problems

I have a zip disk that I save thing I want to be able to find easy. (plant information, propagation etc) I have already saved some things to it but this is my problem. Today when trying to save something to this disk I would get -- Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error --- I tried a few other things and got the same message. So I tried with another disk and the file was saved. I dont understand what is going on. If anyone knows what is going on please let me know.
