Thanks all.

I love gaudy color Brugie! I also love it if it clashes! LOL

Ronna, that is my favorite Rosamond. And sadly it does not seem to have much of a fragrance. However it blooms continuously and the blooms are in great number and huge!

Wow, beautiful dahlias. I'm so glad to see what you look like Jerrie. It is always nice to be able to put a face to a name or the other way around. That brug looks like it is going to put on quite a show too.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I think we should have a directory, where our "names and faces" are. Maybe as part of the address file.

Kell, my Rosamond cuttings are doing well. If I am lucky, just maybe I will have a beauty like that in my yard next year. Thank you so much

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

If you bring your beautiful dahlias along with your very friendly nature Eyes, you can move next door! LOL

Glad to hear it Linda, but do not say it too loud, I am behind in sending out half my boxes so I am trying to keep a low profile!!!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I know, preparing things to mail is a lot of trouble, and I am so appreciative of those who take the time to do it and share their favorites. I hope that this time next year I will have things to pass on to others. I love to grow things from seed too, so if you need help with those great pods on another thread, lmk.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Kell...........you want pink Dahlias??? LMK, and in a couple of weeks, I'll send you some. ;}

There is good in it all for me tall corn a snow white cauliflower or a frilly oak leaf lettuce.

Answer as non comittal as this should get me a long way in politics ha.Ernie

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

250 - 300 dahlias? They must be stunning Ernie. Where do you get your tubers?

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Noh20 I think they are but then I really never had a bad gun dog either unless it was an Irish setter. She was the most beautiful thing you ever saw as she locked up and said here it is. Tight as a fiddle string golden red hair blowing in the wind, made her flow standing still. All perfect at this point the problem is when she decided we had had enough fun she took off for the truck. I will never forget her standing on the cab of the truck barking at me all the way back. She was so happy to see me I had a hard time being mad at her.

Over the ten or more who counts years? I have bought, traded, given, been given to, and recut my bulbs. Last year I dug my tubers started cutting them for storage got sick and a month later went back to cutting and lost fifty or sixty types so this year the show was ok but pale compared to past years.

Since you are a nice person I may be able to find you some. I know I am going to cull lots that are just not me that suit most folks who see them.No I am not saying I offer you garbage I can probably choke you with them next spring when I see how the store program works out.I intend to grow more of what I really like and less of what I don't like as much. Ernie

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Ernie. That is real generous of you. Unfortunately I have a small yard and as much as I love dahlias I can only grow a few. I dig them up and store them over the winter too. Where do you store so many tubers? When I lived near Seattle I was able to leave them in the ground year round and that was really nice. Tonight we are going to go down in the 20's so I have covered them up in the hopes they will not get damaged. We always get 2 or 3 weeks of beautiful weather after a killing frost and I always try to keep the dahlias going as long as I can. Anyway I guess I will have to pass on your generous offer. Maybe if I am lucky I will be in Everson when your dahlias are in bloom - that would be a sight to see!

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Kell Linda took some pictures with a regular camera that I have not seen . I am so electronic challenged I don't have a digital camera but had you asked me a month ago when they were in good bloom my son could have done it for me. He uses one to send pictures of his bird dogs to his friends with. Boy did I ever create a monster when I taught him to follow the dog he owns nine and he isn't into gardening one little
bit.

Next year I will try to remember to get him to do this just for you.Regards Ernie

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Noh20 I am blessed with a good friend who has a buried root cellar. I cut in the fall so it really takes less space than you would guess.

John is about 20 years older than I am and is really a neat old guy looks 60 and is in almost in perfect health. He knows a lot of stuff besides garden stuff so we have a good time figuring out things to build even if we never get to some of it.

Opps some one at the door. see ya Regards Ernie

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

I have to tell you, Ernie, that your typing looks great! I hope you aren't feeling so frustrated by it anymore.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Noh20 Well don't be fooled by what you see cause your still looking at a gilded lilly. It takes me an awful lot of time to do this.

The dumb machine has a mind of it's own and the caps lock thing is possesed, the shift key well thats a different story and of late I have managed to strike something that puts things out of place.

Besides all that this thing can't spell. When I talk to it Linda says language.

Oh well thank you for asking I am not as frustrated but don't feel that comfortable either. I am kinda getting the idea of how to move around the site but there are lot's of things I can't seem to make work.

Might have something to do with patience.

Obviously most of the people here at the garden have more patience than I do or I would have been fire bombed by now. Regards Ernie
