.... virus, bacteria and fungi.........
This is my Jean Pasko. Her leaves have been getting these brown spot. The spots aren't raised and it looks like it's right inside the plant tissue. It starts on older leaves and has been traveling up the plant. Eventually the leaves yellow and drop. I've sprayed with a fungicide but it didn't seem to help at all.
JP is th only brug that shows these spots. The closest thing I can find on the internet is a bacterial spot disease that seems to infect tomatoes... but still it doesn't look quite the same.
On the subject of disease........
Sue, have you been getting too many requests for brug cuttings??? LOL. Problem sovled! LOL
Kell, I was just packing up cuttings of JP for you... their on the way!! ;)
u two are very funny LOL!!!
Sue, I think it is just the cold weather that has hit so close to all the horrible heat. Mine are doing the same thing and so are my friend's in Wisconsin. Everything looks normal and it is about time for mine to be composted when I'm through taking cuttings, so I'm not worrying about it. Seems like the cuttings I've taken are just fine. I hope that is what it is anyway. I remember last year at this time, my brugs started losing leaves left and right.
Oh no, Shirley. This has been going on with this plant most of the summer. It started with just a few of the leaves at the bottom. She grew and bloomed beautifully so I wasn't real worried about it. But now it has traveled up the plant to newer growth. Poor JP will not be able to come inside this winter.
Okay, this is different from just our normal cold weather drop then. Sorry, I didn't understand that it had been going on for a while. I hope you can get it under control soon.
