As far as I know, it's just the tradition of ZEBRA Gardens to give all their "kids" zoological names! For anything more specific, you'd have to ask the Kaspereks.

Thanks for the info, Puttytat. My sister collects anything 'hippo' and they have an iris named after a hippo. She will love it!
