I can't get down to read the tag!!! 7 buds!!! And this one does not get a free pass if it is ugly!!! Now it is one of many! LOL LOL It better be dark pink to survive!!!! LOL
Could this be a L'Amour baby!!! LOL
Kell:
No matter what it turns out to be, the leaves are a beautiful green and it looks very healthy. I hope that you'll be rewarded with the dark pink that you crave. :-)
It is called down and dirty lust Delecie! LOL I want a line of them that I will call Kell's Pink Girls! LOL Of course this one really belongs to Suz!
It's showtime!!!!!! And now, appearing live and in color, it's Kell's Pink Girls!!!!! LOL
The image that conjures up is hilarious. I can imagine a brug Can-can or a Conga line of brugs. LOL
Sure....I can see it now! Especially if the wind is 30 mph, as it has been here today.
Good luck, Kell, it better be deep pink and not another Fr....!
Please post another picture as soon as the bloom opens. That is one of the cuttings I just received and it be wonderful to see the bloom. Thanks.
I'm losing it girls. I meant to post this on the Strawberry Creme thread. I really am going brug crazy.
If it is a Frosty I will cry! So Gloria take back that thought! LOL I have high hopes for my L'Amour babies! And I am hoping they are easy to root so I can share more. L'Amour is tough, but maybe in the spring they will take better.
I dug one up that has 4 inch buds. It's in my greenhouse now. If the buds drop I'm gonna CRY! So far they're hanging on but the plant still seems to be quite stressed. It wilts every afternoon but perks up at night when the temps go down. If just one opens I'll be happy.
Kell, I think you need to get down and dirty and read the tag. We want to know what the buds are!!
Oh Sue, a L'Amour baby? I wonder if you took some of the leaves off if that would help it hold on to its buds? Mist mist mist! lol
Hi Fannie! It is a jungle out there! LOL. I was saving the crawl thru till this weekend so I can throw some fertilizer around each stalk and pick up all the downed leaves at the same time. When I go in I knock off so many leaves I try to keep it at a minimum..
Too late. They fell today - WAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Sniff, Sniff...
Dang it! The smaller buds might make it but the bigger ones droped. I tore the buds open but they were still green. It's Rosamond x L'Amour. I'm so depressed.......
I would cut part of above the Y off and give it a sunny place in my house and fertilze like crazy. Get it to bloom inside. Though it probably will be much lighter that way! My L'Amour was very pale when it bloomed in feb or march.
You must have died when you saw it. That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MEANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN of it to do!!! I am dying to see yours. You should send a person or 2 a piece of it just in case yours does not make the winter and if you have the best L'Amour baby of the group it would be gone forever!
PoppySue, each time i transplant i always give the plant a drink of water with some B1 or Shultz Rooting hormone. i also take off some big leaves to compensate for the roots that were lost in the digging process. my plant, didn't seem to have noticed that they were moved at all. sorry for losing ur buds :(.
